MASON HEALTH SELECTS PERFECTO VILLARREAL AS MAY EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH
Release Date: May 19, 2021
Shelton, WA – Perfecto Villarreal, Environmental Services Technician, from Mason Clinic EVS Department has been named Mason Health’s Employee of the Month for May 2021.
Perfecto Villarreal started at Mason Health in 2018. He’s loved Mason Health from the very beginning.
“Some people recommended Mason Health to me, and I can’t thank them enough. People here truly embody the Mission Statement of the organization, and I’ve always felt a part of this community where we all bring our own flare.”
Indeed, Perfecto’s appreciation of the community is understandable. He is originally from Wisconsin and moved to Shelton in 2016. Looking for a fresh start, he sought a specific type of work environment where people are welcoming, professional, and caring.
Perfecto’s family still lives in Wisconsin, and they are very supportive of him and share in the joy of his achievements.
“When I was chosen as the Employee of the Month, I called my mom and sister and told them. They were happy to know that I’m doing well here.”
Perfecto is reconsidering his options for going back to school and further developing his career path. He is strongly leaning towards becoming a Substance Abuse Counselor.
“There are not enough youth programs in Shelton. I grew up in a small town myself and I know what it feels like when there is not much to do. Teenagers need to be engaged in productive activities or they will get distracted. If there is no trouble, they will create some. I am really happy that the new YMCA was built. It’s a great place to keep the youth busy with sports and whatnot.”
Another reason why Perfecto wants to become a Counselor comes down to his aspiration to give back to the community.
“I feel like, throughout my life, people around me have helped me a lot. I’ve always seen kindness and the good in people, especially, at Mason Health. People here support each other all the time. I want to add to this myself. I believe whatever you give to the Universe, you always get back.”
If Perfecto was 16 again, he would recommend that he should stay true to his nature and invest a lot in self-development.
“If there is something that you like to do, and it doesn’t harm anyone, don’t be ashamed of it and don’t waste time on caring what others think of you. Do what you love, and you’ll get better in being yourself over time. Also, stretch more! Build a stretching routine and start practicing it while you’re still young!”
In his free time, Perfecto enjoys karaoke, playing cribbage, and learning golf. He is also interested in fund-raising events. Perfecto has found a lot of great friends at Mason Health.
We are happy to have him as a member of our team and we are excited to see him scaling new heights!
