NEW WALK-IN CLINIC PROVIDERS NOW SERVING PATIENTS
Release Date: Dec 06, 2021
SHELTON, WA – In November, Mason Health welcomed two new providers to the Walk-In Clinic at Mason Clinic: Thomas Cummings, ARNP, and Zaleh "Zal" Parham, ARNP. Established provider Amie Mower, DO, also moved from Primary Care to the Walk-In Clinic. The Walk-In Clinic serves patients with non-emergency conditions, such as rashes, minor cuts and sprains, when patients are not able to make an appointment with their primary care provider.
Parham joined Mason Health on Nov. 29, 2021. She is a nurse practitioner specializing in Family Medicine and provides expert, comprehensive, patient-centered primary care for patients of all ages. She has more than 10 years of experience as a provider seeing her own patients, and before that as a nurse. She has treated patients from newborn to 107 years old while working in primary care, urgent care and internal medicine.
Parham’s passion is personally connecting with patients and focusing on long-term holistic health, including preventive care through nutrition and exercise. She is a veteran of the U.S. Army and cares deeply about patient care, process improvements and building team cohesion. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Cummings joined the Mason Health team on Nov. 15, 2021. Cummings graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Washington before pursuing and graduating with a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Pacific Lutheran University in 2008.
Cummings’ practice philosophy is to partner with his patients to arrive at the best health outcome. He wants to make sure patients know that they are heard and understood before discussing a plan moving forward. When Cummings is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, as well as hiking, hunting and fishing.
The Walk-In Clinic is located inside Mason Clinic at 1701 N. 13th Street in Shelton. The hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. Clinic hours subject to change once daily capacity fulfilled.
