MASON GENERAL HOSPITAL FOUNDATION UNVEILS NEW PROGRAM INITIATIVES & NEW NAME: MASON HEALTH FOUNDATION

Release Date: Feb 11, 2025

SHELTON — Mason General Hospital Foundation, established in 1991, is known for its dedication to enhancing the health and wellness of Mason County patients, residents and visitors. The Foundation has entered an exciting new chapter with the unveiling of a new name and brand identity as Mason Health Foundation. The Foundation’s Board of Directors is excited to usher in a new year of fundraising in support of quality health care in Mason County.

During the Black & White Ball Dinner Auction on Saturday, Nov. 16, Mason Health CEO Eric Moll, announced the Foundation’s rebrand as Mason Health Foundation; which aligns the nonprofit even more closely with Mason Health’s Mission, Vision and Values and follows the Hospital District’s rebrand in 2019 as Mason Health.

“This name change represents the next evolution of the Foundation and reinforces our commitment to serve as prudent stewards of our resources, ensuring they have the maximum impact in our community,” said Jennifer Capps, Chief Development & Communication Officer for Mason Health and Mason Health Foundation.

Mason Health Foundation’s new name and initiatives reflect a dedication to the community that goes beyond health care, ensuring that every resident has access to the tools and resources they need to thrive and achieve their best health.

The Foundation board looks forward to fulfilling its mission with strategic fundraising efforts this year. Newly launched programs include a car seat program at the Mason Health Birth Center. The new car seat program will help educate new parents about how to use car seats. The car seat program is funded through a restricted fund for pediatric patients within the Foundation’s Endowment Fund. The Endowment Fund allocated $2,000 toward the program last year and it is expected to continue in perpetuity.

The Foundation has already scheduled two summer events this year to support fundraising for new medical equipment at Mason General Hospital — the Quality Care Open Golf Tournament is scheduled for Friday, July 11, and will raise funds for a new high-field open MRI, while Bikers for Babies is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 9, and will raise funds for medical equipment at the Birth Center.
