MASON HEALTH NAMES TIM CATION AS FEBRUARY 2025 EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

Release Date: Feb 27, 2025

SHELTON, WA – Mason Health is proud to recognize medical assistant Timothy Cation, MA-C, as Employee of the Month for February 2025. This is his second Employee of the Month recognition, after earning the award in April 2021. Cation’s dedication to patient care, community involvement and teamwork has made a lasting impact on both colleagues and patients.

After serving 10 years in the U.S. Army Infantry, Cation transitioned into the medical field, earning his certification as a Medical Assistant in October 2019. For the past two years, he has been an integral part of Mason Health, currently assisting Binod Tuladhar, MD, at Mason Clinic-Pediatrics. His experience as a parent of four brings a unique and compassionate perspective to his patient interactions, making him a trusted presence in the clinic.

Cation’s multiple nominators noted that he was “one of the most kind and compassionate people” they had ever met, with an ability to comfort both parents and children during stressful scenarios and putting new employees at ease with his calm demeanor. They have also commented how dependable, hard-working and encouraging he can be.

“I wasn’t expecting it at all,” said Cation upon receiving the award. “I like being a part of the community, and that’s why I volunteer and work with youth. It’s great to see familiar faces and build relationships with our patients.”

Outside of Mason Health, Cation is deeply involved in youth sports, serving as a football coach and director for Shelton Climbers Youth Football and Cheer. When not working or coaching, he enjoys the outdoors — especially fishing and hunting — and taking full advantage of Mason County’s natural beauty.

Mason Health congratulates Timothy Cation on this well-deserved honor and thanks them for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to both patient care and the local community.
