Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Erin Martinache joined the staff at Mason Health in November of 2015. Before that, she worked as a mental health therapist at a local community mental health clinic, for nine years, offering individual and group therapy to adults. Martinache came to Mason County from Eastern Oregon, where she was most recently working with at-risk youth in residential treatment programs.

She started her career in 1991 working in Community Mental Health/Social Work in Umatilla County, OR, as a Case Manager with those diagnosed with chronic and persistent mental illness, then as Residential Coordinator for group homes and foster homes in Eastern and Central Oregon which served those experiencing mental illness.

Practice Interests

In addition to her training in Social Work, Erin has post-graduate training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy(EMDR). Erin enjoys her work very much, integrating many ways of working with people: insight-oriented “talk” therapy; cognitive-behavioral therapy; stress management; body-mind approaches (mindfulness based practices, guided imagery, meditation). She believes that healing involves work and practice, and that the therapeutic process can only be therapeutic if there is good rapport between therapist and client.

Personal Interests

Erin enjoys running and hiking with her dogs and family; and generally playing and practicing the self-care that she preaches, in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. From 1997-2016 she was a volunteer firefighter; in Oregon, and then Washington.
