Kym Walker, MD

Mason Clinic

1701 N. 13th Street
Shelton, WA 98584

Background

Dr. Walker grew up in the Pacific Northwest and graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology. She then joined the US Peace Corps and traveled to The Gambia in West Africa, where she focused on maternal and child health and met her husband, another Peace Corps volunteer.

After college and the Peace Corps, Dr. Walker knew that she wanted to somehow help empower and support women and therefore gravitated toward women’s health. In medical school, she chose to specialize in OB/GYN in order to support women through many of their most life-defining and impactful moments. She has practiced medicine since 2007 and is thankful to have a career where she feels she can make a difference in women’s lives. When not working or spending time with her husband and three teenagers, she loves reading and running, and taking her two dogs for walks.
