Behavioral Health

Prior to joining Mason Health, Tyler Stewart worked at a rural health center and ran a four-year depression treatment program for adults. He has worked alongside patients dealing with physical health conditions, anxiety, panic, trauma, relational and identity issues as well as other life stresses. Stewart was part of the Behavioral Health faculty at a medical family residency program in California that trained primary care providers and medical family therapists in integrated behavioral health care.

He also worked as a practice coach and trainer for the UW AIMS Center, where he partnered with rural clinics across the Pacic Northwest to implement integrated behavioral health into primary care settings.

Stewart works collaboratively with patients through a systemic lens that is non-pathologizing and strengths-based. He considers the contexts of personal and systemic environments as well as intergenerational trauma that influence the challenges people face. Stewart aims to support patients being ready to leave therapy with more tools and greater peace around what brought them to care.

Outside of work, Stewart enjoys cooking, hiking and studying Finnish.
